Later in the test, you’ll read passages from various subjects (like Science or History) and answer questions about main ideas, details, implied meanings, and vocabulary in context.

To do well, practice reading informational texts from books, magazines, or online sources. Focus on understanding the author’s main points and re-read sections if they don’t make sense. Use strategies like breaking down complex words or analyzing the surrounding text to determine their meaning. While preparing, it’s helpful to learn academic vocabulary, as dictionaries won’t be allowed during the test.
